Recognising True Skill in Private Markets

We are pleased to announce the release of Scientific Infra & Private Assets’ 2025 Private Alpha League Tables (Infrastructure Edition), a comprehensive assessment of skill-based performance in private infrastructure. The League Tables recognise top fund managers who demonstrate exceptional and persistent skill in generating alpha beyond the private infrastructure market, as measured by the infra300 index.

The Infrastructure League Tables evaluate more than 180 GPs and 500 funds, representing over one trillion dollars in AUM, to isolate true alpha: performance beyond market beta. The results highlight managers whose value creation has been both exceptional and persistent, setting a new benchmark for excellence in the asset class.

The inaugural 2025 Private Alpha Award winners were announced during SIPA Day, held on 21 October, 2025 in New York, followed by a panel discussion exploring the future of alpha generation. The Awards honour managers whose performance reflects genuine investment discipline, transparency, and a long-term commitment to value creation.

The panel, Generating Alpha in Private Infrastructure, brought together leading managers from EnCap Investments, ERA Partners, and Five Point Infrastructure to examine what truly drives sustainable outperformance in today’s evolving market. Moderated by Zak Bentley, Americas Editor at Infrastructure Investor, the discussion explored how top fund managers translate strategy, discipline, and data-driven insight into measurable alpha.
